M-CSM - Mobile Customer Stock Management

The Customer Stock Management System enables sales reps or stock checkers to go out to customer sites or premises and check the stock that is displayed on the shelves with a PDA.

Information that may be entered and retrieved is:-

• customer names, addresses and contact information
  • this allows contact information to be kept up to date
  • customer groups can be maintained – larger companies may have many branches

• customer stock and counts
  • view stock of each product for a customer
  • enter a stock count for a customer

• review products and conversion factors
  • view current portfolio, including pictures
  • view conversions between the various units of measure

• a facility to enter notes
  • take notes about visits etc

The database on the PDA will be synchronised with the one on the desktop “back at base”

Functions are being developed to synchronise with the main ERP system.
